Cancún is a Mexican city located in the state of Quintana Roo, head of the municipality of Benito Juárez. It is located in eastern Mexico, more than 1600 km from Mexico City. It is the most populated city in the state and is considered a world-class tourist destination, with certification from the World Tourism Organization.

Currently it is the most recognized Mexican tourist center in the world. Cancun is currently the destination that receives the most international tourists from Mexico, along with Mexico City and the Riviera Maya. In addition, the Cancun International Airport is the second with the most passenger movement, which makes Cancun the main tourist destination in Mexico.

Cancún is divided into five zones, Isla Cancún is the first and most important Hotel Zone, where most of the beaches and tourist activities are concentrated, the Urban Zone where the bulk of the population lives, Puerto Juárez is the third zone, we find two main piers to embark and cross to Isla Mujeres, located just 7 km in front of the port, Franja Ejidal is an area of settlements distributed irregularly in the northern part of the city, in the municipal limits of Isla Women and Alfredo V. Bonfil.
